In December, along with like -minded people, he created a Russian club in Shanghai, which became the first public association of Russians here since the first Russian emigration. At the moment, such clubs are created and act in almost all major cities of China. In the year, the first all -Chinese conference of Russian compatriots was held, at which I was elected chairman of the coordination council of compatriots in China.

In this position, I stayed up to a year, before my election to the World Coordinating Council of Russian compatriots, ”says Mikhail Drozdov. I have been in this position for the fourth cadence in a row, more than nine years old. The main goal that I see is formulated in the name of our council. The World Coordination Council is designed to coordinate and consolidate Russian compatriots.

Therefore, my main task is to conduct work in such a way that those impulses, ideas, and deeds that come from my colleagues on World Council have a continuation. My goal is that the members of the VKS feel the support of each other, so that during the work of our council there are as few misunderstandings as possible. It seems to me that I can more or less.

The cases that the Council implements is not only my initiative, this is the general initiative of all our colleagues. I am very grateful to them and those who help me in the current work - my deputies, secretary of the Council. It seems to me that without their help, we could not achieve the results that the Council can already be proud of. The most important thing is that work with compatriots in Russia is not conducted in terms of some companies, when one or two bright events are widely covered in the press are carried out, and then they forget about this direction of work for years.

No, on the contrary. The work is carried out calmly, progressively, according to a certain plan. And when the work is carried out just like that, positive results necessarily appear. We see how much more experienced our ksoruses became, how much the Fund for the Protection and Legal Support of Russian Compatriots abroad gained power, how planned the work of the Moscow government, the Russian foreign house, and other organizations and structures operating on this field.

And of course, I would like to say separately about the tasks that the government commission for compatriots abroad and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs solves. All goals and objectives that are accepted by them every three years are necessarily fulfilled.

We see that this progress brings its results. If you do not mind, let's start with the results. How do you remember the year? Indeed, in a number of countries that are now called unfriendly, in relation to our organizations, a number of activists, actions were taken that prompted them to go into the shadow or suspend the activities of their associations. Nevertheless, by the end of the year, the situation was generally stabilized.

This was clearly visible at the World Congress of Russian compatriots, which took place in the last days of October of the year. The fact that the order of delegates from countries has come to the Congress speaks for itself. It seems to me that the period of turbulence has ended, new leaders appeared, and the situation in the communities stabilized as a whole.

Everyone realized that even in today's complex world what we do - and we do exclusively noble things, humanitarian, cultural, social nature - it is necessary, and will continue. And so, by the end of the year, anxiety, which did not leave me, left. It is obvious to me that the movement of compatriots has survived that it would continue to develop. Now I look with much more optimism into the future, in the next years.

And we spent this vacation in Russia. We visited Moscow, Suzdal and Vladivostok. And what is surprising, leaving each of these cities, we all came to the same thought: "But to come here to live." There is an opinion that "there is no life outside the garden ring in Russia." But our trip completely defeated this stereotype, both my children and my wife, and I saw how diverse and interesting Russia is, how interesting it is for life in its most diverse hypostases.

And in large megacities, and in medium cities, and in small. For us, this was a real discovery. I have repeatedly said that one of my hobbies is the collecting of rare emigrant publications with authors' autographs, and this year I managed to find and acquire many new items in my collection. There is another news that I would like to share with all my friends. Almost a person had already subscribed to him in a short time.

It seems to me that I still manage to find topics that could be interesting to a wide range of people. When I publish my posts there, I try to avoid excessive officialdom. I am writing about what is interesting to me, and already quite regularly I get good reviews. I urge everyone who reads this interview to subscribe to my telegram channel. An important area of ​​the VKS work next year will be a question related to the possibility of entering Russian universities permanently residing abroad compatriots - Russian citizens. I myself plan, as before, to take part in the regional conferences of compatriots and support undertakings that will come from places. There is a regular run, but there is an obstacle run.

So it seems to me, just running and looking around is not interesting, this is not ours. But an obstacle run is yes. Here we are full of adrenaline, it only fastens us. And another circumstance that helps a lot is the presence of a great goal. Now the Russians, wherever they live, is worth the goal - to build a new Russia, a sovereign, free, dynamic country. In the new year I wish all compatriots living abroad to participate in the construction of our new Russia, as well as I wish all friends and colleagues from all over the world of health, prosperity and all the best!
