Initially, the idea was given the name "Man of the Year", but when selecting nominations, they came to the conclusion that this name is not entirely correct in relation to some nominations. Having focused on expanding the project, it was decided to include nominations not only for individual merits, but to show more commands. So there were such nominations as “The collective of the year”, “Student organization”, “Project of the year”, “The best hostel room”.

In the summer and autumn of the year, after I was elected to the post of chairman of the United Council of students, I began to realize the idea from the Council, regardless of any student associations of the university. In the winter of the year, on the eve of the New Year, on December 27, they held the first annual prize of students "Gold Star" for the best achievements of the year.

According to the results of the competition, the winners of the nominations were: “Excellence in the year” - Raisa Maksimova, a 6th year student of the Faculty of Medicine “Collective of the Year” - the Victorianext team, the Egovictoria team, the faculty of the Faculty of Control, the student rescue squad “Snow Bars”. This year, some changes in the nominations removed such a nomination as the “best dormitory room”, modified the “team of the year” on the “team of the year”, and “the work of the year” to the “creative personality of the year” and added the “Organizational Department”, “Student Media”, “Event of the Year”, “Public figure of the year”, “Sormation of the Year”.

The last two nominations independently withdrew from the competition, the reasons are honestly known to the end, but as for the public activist of the year last year, the nomination had to be removed due to the lack of applications. Either in our university last year there were no social activists, or something was wrong with them. This year we received 81 applications 38 last year from 55 people.

The project gains popularity and scale upon completion of applications and consideration of applications, together with jury members decided to activate the option of making additional special nominations. So the “breakthrough of the year” and “the best representatives of foreign diasporas” appeared and, as a result, the number of nominations reached TI 13 of the nominations last year, and in this we were supported by 10 sponsors 0 last year.

In with Vyazi with a huge number of worthy and equal competitive nominees, we even had to shuffle some by nominations so that God forbid not to miss anyone worthy. According to the results of the competition, the winners of the nominations were: "Excellence in the year."
