How do you prepare for such a huge event?

Therefore, in preparation for the summer, which has been conducted for several years, the main emphasis is on increasing the comfort of the urban environment, modernizing the sphere of housing and communal services and the road network. But in the focus of attention, at the same time, the tourist attractiveness of Suzdal, its development. The task is large -scale and complex: we are all the time to decide how to improve and ennoble the city, while maintaining its special atmosphere.

For example, it is impossible for us to pour all the walking paths with asphalt. But we found a compromise option with eco -roads, which it is convenient for both residents and tourists. Its director Ekaterina Pronicheva is actively landscaping the territory of the Suzdal Kremlin, the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery, the Museum of Wooden Architecture.

In the monastery, park architects revive gardens and gardens. Now they have already restored the ancient cruciate layout of the gardens, planted medicinal herbs, which were previously grown here. It looks beautiful, and has become a new excursion theme, another factor in attracting guests. The whole man lives in Suzdal, while about a million tourists came here in a year.

And in the anniversary year there will be even more. How do you solve the problem of overturism? In just seven days of the New Year holidays, we have accepted more than thousands of guests, this is a very serious influx of people for our scale. Suzdal is a small city, and when the entire tourist flow is concentrated on three central streets, this creates discomfort for both residents and tourists themselves.

Therefore, our task now is to create a “big Suzdal”. In fact, this development plan is already being implemented: investors master the outskirts of Suzdal and suburbs, creating attractive objects there. And the center is unloaded thanks to new internal tourist routes. One of these investors is Vadim Dymov - a man in love with Suzdal.

He has long been developing the topics of gastronomy and traditional crafts-not to get to his master classes in the pottery school "Dym Ceramics". Now Vadim has begun a new project: it is revising the former bakery and creates a large confectionery production there, where they will make handmade sweets on ancient Russian recipes. And in a separate workshop there will be a ceramic workshop with master classes.

This is not just a modern and comfortable multifunctional space with a concert platform, a cinema and a library, but also a creative community. And on the banks of the Kamenka River, in a rebuilt hut of the 19th century, the exhibition pavilion “Casket” operates, the curator of exhibitions in which was Andrei Bartenev. Oleg Zhukov makes a huge contribution to the development of tourism in Suzdal. On the “Suzdal Arena” he built regularly, large -scale All -Russian competitions are held. But for me it is especially important that a variety of personal and social activity in the development of Suzdal is combined with concern for maintaining its historical authenticity and has a single primary source - love for the city.

This is the key that we will succeed. You can find housing for every taste - from a room in a large hotel complex to a Russian hut or chalet. This is also working on this, Vadim Dymov and his wife Eugene. They redeem old houses and very carefully restore them, with great attention to what we now call local identity. In fact, they create a new sample of the Suzdal guest house, and I hope he will give guests of the city a new idea of ​​what can be a vacation in Russia.Young, but already well -known teams of architects and designers work on projects, and they sometimes bring very bold, but absolutely organic solutions.

After all, the holiday will last more than one day? But interesting events will continue until the end of the year. The high season, which is from about May to October, will be especially saturated. We tried to create a diverse program for guests with different interests. It will have a lot of events: from the festival of Russian animation to sporting events.

For example, on June 12, the largest exhibition project of the Vladimir-Suzdal museum and museums of the Moscow Kremlin will open. At the Russian Phoenix exhibition, unique artifacts from the Vladimir region will be shown for the first time-in particular, the manuscript Gospel of Dmitry Pozharsky, the Hero of Russia of the XVII century, which he gave the Spaso-Evfimiev to the monastery, even his gift inscription was preserved.

Pozharsky was buried in this monastery in the clan tomb. He was found in the year near Yuryev-Polsky; It is believed that from this helmet in Russia the study of antiquities began. In July, in Suzdal it will be possible to listen to the opera in historical decorations: Valery Gergiev with his opera soloists will show the “Tale of City Kitezh” in the Suzdal Kremlin.
