Disconnect on the page of Mary D. Russell Mary Doria Russell - an American writer with Italian roots. Born in the city of her mother was a nurse in the Navy, and her father served as a sergeant-instructor for combat training in the Marine Corps. As a child, Mary Doria studied at the Catholic primary school of the Blessed Heart, and then in the Glenbard East secondary school.

In adulthood, she passed from Catholicism to Judaism. Russell received a bachelor's degree in the anthropology of culture at the University of Illinois, a master's degree in social anthropology at the North-Eastern University and a candidate degree in biological anthropology at the University of Michigan defended the dissertation in paleoanthropology, with ... deepening in biomechanics and bone biology.

During her studies, Mary Doria studied linguistics, genetics, anatomy, archaeology and geology. All this knowledge was useful to her when writing her famous debut novel. In Mary Doria, she married Don Russell. From the city of Russell, they adopted the son of Daniel in G. She taught an anatomy at Case Western Reserv University in Cleveland until her "training department was reduced to zero at the end." She was offered a job at the University of Kalgary, but, as Russell says, "after about ten seconds after I accepted the proposal, one of the Canadian teachers threatened the department with a court claim if this position was given to the American." Not wanting to cause trouble, Russell took her statement.

After leaving science, Russell was engaged in writing many technical manuals for various types of equipment. She did this until the majority of her contacts were “dry”, which made her begin to think about what, as she believed, “could become a story”. This “story” was later published and became known as the novel “Small Bird”. After the completion of the writing of this novel, Russell almost immediately began work on his continuation, the novel "Children of God." According to Russell, the completion of the “children of God” has gone much more time, due to interviews, meetings and advertising events related to the “Malaya Bird”, the spelling of which took only a year.

Half of the income received from the Poultry of Malaya, Russell donated to build a library for one of Cleveland's schools. The script is considered by several film companies, and Antonio Banderas expressed a clear interest in participating in this project. Currently, the rights to the film belong to the Warner Brothers.
