Biography of Shendrika
For almost 33 years, he has been walking under epaulets and has been sitting in the Kuban parliament for a year, where he heads the Committee on Military Affairs, Public Security, Raising pre -conscription youth and Cossack cases. In the past, a combat officer, an alpha, Hero of Russia, who more than once looked by death, he knows by his own example where the heroes come from and how to make the former warriors who proved devotion to their homeland, replenish the ranks of the country's real elite and occupied key posts in the structures of power and management.
We are talking to him about how to educate the hero. Evgeny Demyanovich, legends go about your exploits, but you yourself do not like to spread about them. There is probably a reason for this, because you are in the past - Alfa fighter, deputy head of the regional department of management "A" of the FSB special purpose center. They say it is very difficult to get there.
How did it happen to you? Evgeny Shendrick: I grew up in the village of Rogovskaya, this is the Timashevsky district of the region. A large Cossack village with his way of way and traditions, into a spitting more than one generation of worthy defenders of the Fatherland. In my childhood, every boy dreamed of accomplishing a feat, so I had. Born in the year, and almost all school teachers, like the parents of many classmates, were participants in the Great Patriotic War.
Returning from the front, we went to restore the national economy. They worked on a collective farm in various positions, and none of them boasted with combat merits. But I will never forget how once at a stanitsa rally in honor of Victory Day I saw them at a full parade, with orders and medals on his chest. And then I realized: here they are, real heroes, and really wanted to be like them.
We perceived the stories of teachers who have passed the war as a living story. There was no Internet, no one spoiled consciousness, we grew up in a normal environment and dreamed of normal things. They did not think about money, but about getting a decent profession and benefiting the homeland. Someone dreamed of becoming an engineer, a builder, a mechanic, and I was an officer.
Almost from elementary grades began to prepare for this. He went in for sports, trained, pulled out knowledge and immediately after graduation entered the Serpukhov Higher Command-Engineering Military School. According to operational information, in parallel with the capture of the school in Beslan, terrorists planned to do something similar in the Kuban and as far as known as the Stavropol Territory, they taught to launch missiles, and not to fight terrorists.
How did you get to Alpha? Evgeny Shendrick: So fate has developed. After graduating from the school, he got to serve at the strategic landing training ground, Kapustin Yar. There I was appointed company commander. I really liked teaching the soldier everything that he knew and knew how to: dig trenches, shoot, arrange ambushes, go into reconnaissance. The guys also liked this, and soon my company became the best at the training ground.
Time passes, calls to the authorities and offer to go to serve in the state security organs. I immediately agreed, because I always sought to get there. After the end of the highest courses of military counterintelligence, the service began in the State Security Committee of the USSR. Alfa fighter has a short break before a new dangerous task. Here I purposefully strove for a combat operational unit.
He jumped with a parachute, trained to pass the standards. My boss later said that he knew what I was doing in my free time from the main service, but decided not to interfere. I am grateful to him for seeing my desire and allowed us to prepare for the service in Alpha. By the way, I myself always help the guys who want to serve in special forces. You got a very difficult time.
The armed conflict flashed in Chechnya and in the adjacent territories. And just like this is happening now, the enemies of Russia began to throw the logs into the flaring bonfire. From all over the world, mercenaries stretched there. We were engaged in neutralizing the leaders of gangs and the elimination of militants, whose hands were on the elbow in the blood. They tried to establish contacts with the local population, primarily with the elders.
They explained to them that we were not enemies and came to free the North Caucasus from foreign terrorists. But then exclamations were heard from everywhere that this Chechnya, they say, should be driven for a barbed wire, almost throwing bombs. But we convinced that the bulk of the local population was simply deceived and used. After all, the same Akhmat Kadyrov initially fought against Russia, and then figured out who the true enemy went to our side, and we already began to fight the mercenaries together.
Now the children of these Chechens have grown up and there, in Ukraine, they protect Mother Russia. But the liquidation of the leaders of the gangster underground lasted quite a long time. For one such operation, as far as I know, you received a hero of the hero in the year. Evgeny Shendrick: Our group then captured one of the odious leaders of Chechen gangs. And even now, after 24 years, I can not share all the details.
However, over the years of service, there were quite a lot of such operations. We freed hostages, neutralized bandits. The hostages were released in Krasnodar, and the terrorists were fought mainly in the regions of the North Caucasus. Although, according to operational information, in parallel with the capture of the school in Beslan, terrorists planned to do something similar in the Kuban and in the Stavropol Territory, these attempts were suppressed in time.
Caucasian everyday life of an elite unit officer. How to prevent such tragedies? Evgeny Shendrick: Specialists should learn lessons from what happened, and this is done. The task of the specialists, of course, is to warn and identify. But there are a lot of objects, not everywhere the security is armed, and there was a calculation for this. Everyone needs to be kept, as they say, the ear is open and take into account what time we live in.
This attack was planned to intimidate ordinary people and sow panic in society. But none of this happened.
The tragedy united the whole country, the people are in lines to donate blood for the victims, continues to carry flowers to spontaneous memorials. And there, in Crocus, there were heroes who were not afraid to resist the armed bandits, managing to withdraw hundreds of people from the burning building. All this once again confirms that Russians will never be able to break.
So it was, and so it will be. A special military operation gave us hundreds of heroes who are proud of the country. Moreover, many of them had nothing to do with the army two years ago. It is amazing how quickly they mastered military science. Evgeny Schendrick: If we recall the Russian history, then it was always like that. Take at least the times when Moscow was under the Poles.
Minin and Pozharsky gathered a militia. Who entered it? Ordinary Russian people who rose when they saw that they were trampling our faith, and the Fatherland was destroyed. And they drove the Poles. And now the same situation. Since the year in the Donbass, the purposeful destruction of Russian people and throughout Ukraine was the violation of our faith. To stop this, he was announced first, and then mobilization.
The agenda came, and hundreds of thousands of guys gathered, came to the military enlistment office, went on training and went to the front line. And although now they all understand that they are opposed by a whole NATO block, the guys repulse the APU units, to the teeth equipped with Western weapons. They learned how to shoot aptly, work in a team, comply with commanders' orders.
They know that they are fighting for their homeland. And birth is a family, parents, the land on which they grew up, a school that was completed. All this is our homeland. It is a pity that here, in civilian, not everyone realizes that thanks to these guys we continue to engage in peaceful labor, study, rest, go to concerts. And some of our fellow countrymen, without a twinge of conscience in nightclubs, had fun until the governor of the Kuban ordered to close them.
I think that the heads of other Russian regions should follow his example. Evgeny Demyanovich, I know that your son is now in the zone of his. Evgeny Shendrick: Yes, he is an officer. I actually have six children - four daughters and two sons. The senior specialist in IT technologies lives and works in Moscow, and the youngest went in my feet, he will be able to protect himself and his subordinates for 24 years.
After all, I taught him to this. Cossack volunteer detachments formed in our region are very worthy. All of them were prepared in the Kuban, I also took part in this. I often meet with the guys and are proud of them. I consider them all real heroes. The guys who in the zone risk their life for the sake of their country, know exactly what you need for its prosperity what do you think about the Heroes of Heroes personnel for veterans?
