A book-illustrated exhibition dedicated to the lady of the great Russian writer Anton Pavlovich Chekhov is presented in the scientific hall of humanitarian literature. It is difficult to imagine Russian classics without Chekhov's works. We are familiar with his work with his school. The little Anton Chekhov was called a "bomb" for the fact that he had too much head. However, he was not offended by this. According to the memoirs of relatives, Antosha was the most humble son among children. Chekhov signed his early works by the name “Antosha Chekhont”, but few people know the curious fact that the writer had more than fifty different pseudonyms.
For about five years, Chekhov, by virtue of necessity, earned a living of topics, wrote books for other writers for money. Over the years of study, Chekhov had to work out in every possible way: he was a tutor, collaborated with magazines, wrote brief humor. After graduating from the Medical Faculty in Moscow, Chekhov was engaged in medical practice. There is a myth that Chekhov was short -tall.
This is not true - the growth of the writer was a centimeter. A close friend of Chekhov was another famous writer - Ivan Bunin. Of all his modern writers, the most Chekhov respected Leo Tolstoy, speaking about him always only respectfully and enthusiastically. Chekhov loved dogs very much. He had two dachshunds, who were called Brom Isaich and Hin Markovna. All his conscious life, the writer was engaged in charity.
He helped to raise funds for the construction of rural schools and sanatoriums for poor peasants. He worked free of charge as a volunteer. On the first planet of our Mercury system there is a crater named after Chekhov. In Taganrog there is a monument to Peter the Great. What does Chekhov have to do with it? Despite the fact that it was he who convinced the Taganrog authorities to erect this monument.
The writer was an amateur philatelist-he collected brands. Chekhov’s works were filmed about two hundred times. In New York, there is a literary publishing house named in his honor. Chekhov did not like translations of his works into other languages. Once, Chekhov climbed to the top of the Vulcan Vesuvius cannot say that Chekhov was not lucky in his personal life. Women loved him, and he loved him.
