An important role was played by the fact that at the time of the opening, Mikhail Egorovich had a successful experience in promoting ophthalmic centers in Italy and Kazakhstan and knew this business well - what a private clinic should be, what should be the level of services, even how to meet and escort the patient. Thus, in the centers of Professor Konovalov, all the experience was implemented, which was accumulated by him over the years of work in different places, collecting all the best that was separately characteristic of the Fedorov Institute, the elite European clinic and the traditions of Kremlin medicine.

Mikhail Egorovich Konovalov personally made more than seventy thousand microsurgical operations over the years of his work, of which the order of forty thousand focoemulsification. For eighteen years of the existence of the “Ophthalmological Center of Konovalov” in Moscow, his patients were Boris Yeltsin, Sergey Mikhalkov, Evgeny Primakov and many other famous people of Russia.

He is also a member of the institute's dissertation council.

Mikhail Egorovich published more than 65 printed works in Russian and English, is the author of 4 patents. He constantly takes part in the work of all the most important Russian and international ophthalmic conferences.
