Sergey Eremenko Biography
The pilot of the Russian Vityazi air group Major Sergei Eremenko took the car from the village and saved civilians at the cost of his life. He was 34 years old. A month before his death, the pilot gave an interview to the TASS correspondent, in which he talked about the features of the aerobatics, about his work and life in the sky. We publish excerpts from his comments for the special project "Always at the height" dedicated to the anniversary of the air groups "Swifts" and "Russian Knights".
We are sick about the sky, each of us - when you do not fly on vacation for a long time, the sky still begins to dream. It seems that you think that you are tired of work, and a week is going on, and again I want to have an airplane helm. Still, we can say that we are sick with the sky, each of us. The real peak - to go to this all your life, come and quit?
Of course not. I think this is the dream of any pilot. The real peak. About pilots, a pilot is an ordinary person - a pilot - this is an ordinary person, just the requirements for him are more strict. When you just start flying for aerobatics, the action of overload is unusual. It takes time to get used to it. However, then everything is a habit. It is difficult to tear off the hand from the knee about the piloting - with a single pilot, the overload can reach 9 g of units, which means that nine times more of his own weight crushes a person.
Group aerobatics usually does not exceed overloads of 6 units. At the same time, even when overloading three units, it is already difficult to tear off the hand from the knee. The main thing is not to go into a corkscrew - almost all figures are performed on overloads. It is necessary to support the plane, prevent him from falling up and not going into a corkscrew.
With such discomfort, pilots must withstand their place in the ranks, think with lightning speed and respond to various deviations, and listen to the teams of the host. About the figures of the "barrel" is performed by all the pilots - we will take as an example the figure of the "barrel" rotation of the aircraft around the longitudinal axis into degrees. If it is single, then this is a basic figure performed by all the pilots.
If group, then this is already difficult, only the aerobatic people make it. In the battle, the “barrel” gives the pilot the opportunity to get away from the enemy’s rocket - when the “barrel” makes an air group, the main meaning and skill - in the synchronous execution of this figure, simultaneously begun and finished, in clear maintenance of his place in the system and the position of aircraft in space.
A single "barrel" in battle gives the pilot the opportunity to suddenly change his spatial position, to leave the enemy’s rocket. Of course, there is no global difference between aircraft about aircraft "microscopic" nuances, but there are, of course, "microscopic" nuances. On one plane, the engines work a little differently, you sit in the other - both go to power the same way.
And of course, the pilot, who flew at the helm of a single car, will tell you everything about tiny differences in its management. There will be much more opportunities - SU compared to the SU completely different - both in piloting and engine control. Everything is on electronics there. To some extent, it is a little more complicated for group aerobatics. When they go to us in the unit, you will have to fly around them, gradually get used to management, piloting in the group.
There will be much more opportunities in solitary aerobatics, it will be much more colorful and diverse. There you can perform figures that have not yet been invented by names.
