Biography of the article
Kholikov Alexey Alexandrovich all articles, literary critic, doctor of philological sciences.
Merezhkovsky, the theory of literature. The author of the textbooks "Biography of the writer as a genre" 2nd ed. The text of PDF to quote human life has always been curious of observation, research and, as a result, description. Is it worth it in this regard to the reader’s current interest in the biographies of wonderful and not very people in this regard? However, it is worth it!
For not only the mass reader is experienced by the need for biographical knowledge, whose books from the ZhZL series are crowded on the same shelf with the magazines “Biography”, “Interview”, “Caravan of Stories”, but also the reader, who was sophisticated by literary “delicacies”, a philologist, a writer and even a writer. It is noteworthy that over the past two years, the writer's biographies have been awarded the Big Book of the National Literary Prize: in the year - “Boris Pasternak” by D.
Bykov the first prize, in M - “Alexey Tolstoy” by A. Varlamov the second prize. What determines an increasing interest in the biographical genre in general and writer's biographies in particular: the lack of good fiction or a new turn of the development of the genre? What problems are faced with a modern biographer and what should the writer's biography look like?
These and other questions were answered by participants in the “round table”, who recently passed in the Pushkin living room of 1 philological faculty of Moscow State University. Since the view from the inside is especially interesting, modern biographers - direct participants in the literary process were invited to open discussion: Aleksey Nikolaevich Varlamov - writer, doctor of philological sciences, professor of the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University named after Lomonosov, laureate of the Solzhenitsyn Prize, appator of biographical books about M.
Prishvin, G. Rasputin, A. Green, A. Lomonosov and the Literary Institute named after Gorky, the author of numerous studies about the life and work of F. Dostoevsky, the founder and president of the Dostoevsky Foundation. Trifonova, F. Iskander, B. Pasternak and others Lomonosov, author of works about the life and work of S. Klychkov, N. Klyuyev, S. Yesenin, I. Shmelev and others.
The writer, Doctor of Philology, Professor of Moscow State University named after The biography of the writer as a genre turned out to be strikingly in demand in the modern literary process. In demand both readers and people who write. Take at least the revival seemed to be from the non -existence of a series of ZhZL. Here, in our times, the circulations are unheard of-seven thousand, and in three or four “plants”, and the fees as one of the authors admitted in the walls of the Pushkin living room-at the expense of his hero he covered the roof in the country, and “large” in the literal and figurative sense of the word.
This happened naturally, but also somewhat unexpected. Still, we remember the doubt of the representatives of the formal school and most of us came out of the very “overcoat” in the need to study the biography of the writer. Not a case from life, but a literary fact is more important. Eichenbaum - in the study of not only creativity, but also L. life, a similar plot develops on a different round of our history.
Lotman begins with structural poetics - text, text, text, and gradually goes into the history of literature with an indispensable biographical component. His commentary on Evgeny Onegin is a way to the biography of not only the poet, but also his heroes - he “calculates” the year of the birth of Onegin, Tatyana and Lensky is a kind of quasiBiography. A special role was played by books about the life of writers in the Soviet era-it was a breakthrough on the sidelines of the literary process to some, but freedom of speech, finally, to a piece of bread.
The new generation, by the way, does not know what “deficit” any book was in the series of ZhZL - and the convertible currency, and prestige on the book shelf in its pure form. What is the return to the past? Is it not about a return to much more?! But even then and now the question remains: isn't the myth of the writer's biography? And one more. By analogy with the famous statement of Zhukovsky about the translator in verses as an opponent and translator in prose as a writer’s slave, two types of biographers - an opponent and a slave can be distinguished.
After all, many of the writers have created multi -volume memoirs. The most striking example is A. And here you will not envy V. Demin, who wrote everything in that series of ZhZL a book about white is very rivalry binding. It is not difficult to get into slavery. Yes, and the genre of the writer’s biography as a whole should avoid any enslavement - the undemanding taste of readers and publishers, a thirst for his own glory, premiums.
This and much more will be discussed, I think, on our "round table". The Pushkin living room was opened in October of the year on the eve of the flight from the day A. She became a meeting place for students and teachers of the philological faculty with famous contemporaries. Visiting students and teachers visited: B. Akunin, T. Tolstoy, O. Sedakova, L. Ulitskaya, T. Bek, D.
