Biography Hans Zimmer
Everything that he can, Zimmer learned himself using natural talent ... and technology. I grew up, modifying the sound of piano. My mother was horrified, and my father was delighted if I tied metal chains to the keys. He thought it was evolution. I was one hand for the music, with the other for the technology. I have not seen the difference between them, because I just wanted to invent and find out how to get new sounds.
Hans Zimmer, a film composer, in his career as a film composer, inspired him by Annio Morricone with his music for the painting “Once upon a time in the Wild West” today he is known as a film composer, but it all started a little different: in the Krakatoa and The Buggles groups. The latter gathered in the metro station Zimmer, who played on the keys, you can even briefly consider - and listen!
The last team differs from all others in that it performed a punk, not New Weev. The musician even entered the advertisement, but he did not like working in this genre. The last straw was the request "to portray the sound of avocados." A turning acquaintance in the biography of Zimmer was a meeting with Stanley Mayers, at that time already a well -known film composer.
Together they equipped and opened a sound recording studio in London. Their common goal was to find a way to competently compare orchestral and electronic music. In addition, Mayers began to invite a young protege to work on large paintings. So Zimmer was able to participate in the creation of the soundtrack to the films “Speakers”, “Success - Best Revenge”, “Moon Lengory” and others.
Tsimmer received his first Oscar Prize for the Soundtrack for the film “The Last Emperor”, however, not as a composer, but as a participant in the recording team. Solo work was also not long in coming. The composer began a full -length debut of the maestro with the movie “Deadly Exposition” to work on him, in M., when the picture was released, the author of the soundtrack to the Oscar -high “Rain Man” attracted even more attention than actors and script.
Hans himself was nominated, but he has not yet received the coveted figurine. But they were going to honor the picture on Grammy in the category "Best Instrumental composition written for a film or television." The nominations attacked the composer as fiercely as the directors whose works today consider cult. But the most authoritative awards of Zimmer went for a very long time.
In M, the composer had a chance to work with the director Ridley Scott for the third time. Judging by how successful their third work was - the film "Gladiator" - the gods of music really love the trinity. According to the memoirs of Tsimmer, it all started with a call in the early morning. Being an owl, the composer was not very happy with the awakening, which Scott, by the way, knew very well.
The conversation lasted for some time. When Zimmer hung up and briefly explained the idea of Scott to his wife, she laughed, seeing a typical boyish fun in her. It was then that Hans came into the head of the idea to make such music that both men and women could listen. The composer intended to help Scott with “poetry”, because this is exactly what the director wanted to achieve.
Given that for this picture, Zimmer also received a nomination for Oscar, apparently, he succeeded. In the same M, the first live performance of the composer at the Film Festival in the Gene was held. In the next ten years, the composer managed to work with Tony Scott and Terrence Malik. After his trip to Africa, to work on the film “Power of Personality”, Hans attracted the attention of Walt Disney studio.
He was offered to work on the cartoon "King Leo", but the composer refused for a long time. He was sure that the cartoons of their production were just Broadway musicals about princesses. Ultimately, Hans agreed, exclusively to please his own princess - a six -year -old daughter who had never been to the great premieres before. According to Zimmer’s memoirs, this project helped him survive the death of his father: despite the fact that the tragedy occurred long before that, the composer could not look for the truth for a long time.
It is not surprising that the soundtrack came out so emotional that he helped the composer close several gestalt at once. This was his first animated project, the first Oscar and the first few more victories at Grammy and the Golden Globe. In a word, the crop of awards was truly royal. Naturally, this allowed Zimmer to be noted in a number of chitic projects.
He also created several cult melodies for the “Pirates of the Caribbean: the curse of the Black Pearl”, although Klaus Badelt is the main composer. In m, he was closed among the authors of the soundtrack for the computer game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which became his first experience in creating music for this media format. The composer describes his format on any soundtrack as follows: I am like a cat: I have only 9 lives.
If I review the film 9 times, I will stop feeling anything. Therefore, I work in the wake of the first impressions and hold on to them until the last. Hans Zimmer, a film composer, as in the early years, the composer continues to actively use computer technology. He is sure that various software simplifies the work of musicians just as the violin did during Mozart. In the end, the violin is just a piece of wood and a dead cat.
Hans Zimmer, the composer according to the memoirs of Zimmer, most of the time he took the theme of Clark Kent from the “man from steel” of the year. Like any other mortal, the composer procrastinate, feeling in the gigantic shadow of John Williams and his music for Superman in the film of the year. Cimmer himself, however, threw a huge shadow at all the composers who was coming in the future, after working in the epic cosmodram "Interstellar" Christopher Nolan.
Work on this picture began with the fact that the director - a well -known lover of riddles and abstruse ciphers - sent the composer a letter recruited on a printing machine. In it, Nolan explained the ideological message of the film, but not the plot. In just one night, Zimmer wrote a title topic in which he wanted to show what it was - to be a father. Hearing her, Nolan was very inspired.
The melody accompanied him while working on the script and during the filming, being almost “the heart of the whole history”. When the Interstellar was ready, Nolan gave Zimmer a wristwatch with the No Time for Cautition engraving “There is no time for care”: this is what the title theme of the picture is called. In m, after a full -fledged touring tour, Zimmer released album of living records.
The compositions were recorded at his concert in Prague. Since then, the composer has created a soundtrack for more than paintings. Zimmer also won two Oscars: in addition to the already mentioned “King Lion,” the cherished figurine was brought to him by work on the film “Dun” Denis Vilnev. For the sake of this picture, by the way, the composer even refused to write a soundtrack for the “argument” - another difficult picture from his big comrade, Christopher Nolan.
Despite the fact that many continue to criticize him for the “simplicity” of music, it is difficult to deny that Zimmer is almost the most famous and completely most progressive film-composer of our time, who had long left his mark in history. As he himself once joked: one of the most beautiful facts about my life is that I can become part of the life of a person and should not wash the dishes.
Zimmer is married three times and became a father five times. The composer entered his first marriage already in the year: his chosen one was the model of Vika Caroline. In marriage with her, Zimmer spent 10 years. The fruit of their love was Zoe Zimmer, born on November 2 of the year. It is not known when Susan appeared in his life, his second wife, and tracking the birth of their children is also not easy.
Annabel more often than other children appears with a father on red carpet, although Zoe can attend events independently, regardless of his father. Unfortunately, in the year this long fairy tale of love ended: Zimmer filed for divorce. After some time, he met a new passion, his same age, entrepreneur Dina de Luc. In the spring, the composer made her an offer, inviting her to the stage during one of his concerts.
If you believe that love is inspiring, it is safe to say that a composer is waiting for a lot of creative energy. So, we will hear from him many more masterpieces. In the end, John Williams - also a cult movie musician - has already exceeded 90, but he still does not be surprised if he does Zimmer in a similar way.
